Sugar Mud Puppy
Posted by Anna Surface on June 22, 2009

A photograph of my dog, Sugar Mud Puppy, digitally painted. The last part of her name, Mud Puppy, comes from when she was rescued by my cousin in Oklahoma. It was a dark, stormy night when she and her sister were dumped on a country road. When I got her, she was full of red Oklahoma mud, and a wee, sweet puppy, half Lhasa Apso and Schnauzer. Sugar will be turning six years old soon.

What a cutie! I will never understand how anyone could just dump an animal out somewhere.

Montucky, it happens a lot. Many dumped animals. Some of the lucky ones are rescued. Thanks for commenting and stopping by.

After commenting about your spam increase, I was curious to see your blog. Your artistic work is fantastic, as is your entire blog! Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, I had thought Kansas to be a relatively flat, desolate place. Obviously I was wrong. I am astounded by the State’s beauty. Thank you!

Hi C2c5e5 and welcome. Hello St. Louis! I lived there for nearly four years and loved it! It is very beautiful in the surrounding areas. I am not a native Kansasan and since living here for a good while and photographing the landscape, it isn’t flat. A beautiful state Kansas is. Thanks for commenting.
